MVS will launch 4G technology in 2010

The company is planning to invest some US$ 700 millions in the first stage of the project.

MEXICO, November 27, 2009.- MVS will launch 4G technology next year in Mexico. MVS is planning to invest some US$ 700 millions in its first stage for provide services in 23 cities, with 3,400 Wimax radio base, disclose BBVA Bancomer Casa de Bolsa.

Intel and Clearwire will be MVS’s partners. Clearwire has an association with Sprint, Comcast, Intel, Time Warner and Google, operates in 24 cities in the US, and gives services to 30 million people.

In just one mobile the company provides Internet access, video and VoIP, that is why MVS analyzes launch the service.

“We believed that MVS will follow Dish strategy, providing good service to low price. Dish’s competitors have been forced to create package of services, 40% cheaper than in 2008”, said in press release Andres Coello, Analyst of BBVA Bancomer Casa de Bolsa.
